One thing that is really exciting about Pixar is the fact that we're always pushing the envelope in terms of technology. I think Pixar is one of the few animation companies out there with its own R&D group. Coming out from a research group right after school, I found myself fitting into the Pixar culture easily since it has a great mix of academics and people with industry experience (I've met people who wrote Houdini and Softimage).
