Disney/Pixar's "A Bug's Life" Captures Top Box Office Spot For Second Weekend In A Row

Point Richmond, CA -- December 8, 1998 -- In its second weekend of wide release (12/4-6), "A Bug's Life," the extraordinary computer-animated feature film from Disney/Pixar, once again captured the top spot at the nation's box office with a sensational 3-day gross of $17.33 million at 2,701 theaters. This follows the film's record-setting Thanksgiving weekend opening, in which it grossed an nprecedented $45,729,516 over the 5-day holiday period. In just 12 days of release the film's cumulative gross stands at $68.9 million. A Walt Disney Pictures presentation of a Pixar Animation Studios film, "A Bug's Life" was directed by John Lasseter and co-directed by Andrew Stanton.
