Pixar to Release First Quarter 2002 Earnings on May 8, 2002

EMERYVILLE, CA - (April 17, 2002) Pixar Animation Studios (Nasdaq: PIXR) today announced that management will report first quarter 2002 earnings results on Wednesday, May 8, 2002 following the market close. Pixar’s chairman and chief executive officer, Steve Jobs, and executive vice president and chief financial officer, Ann Mather, will conduct an earnings release teleconference to discuss information relevant to the first quarter results as well as other recent or upcoming developments affecting the company’s operations. The teleconference will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2002 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time, 2:00 p.m. Pacific Time.
